About Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya's best-known safari destinations for close encounters with large elephant herds. The park forms part of a broader ecosystem of open grass plains, acacia woodland, thorn bush, marshes and swamps, creating a varied habitat for mammals and birdlife.
The park's signature scenery is the combination of wildlife on the plains with Mount Kilimanjaro rising beyond the Kenya�CTanzania border. Clear views of the mountain depend on weather and cloud conditions, with early mornings often providing excellent photographic opportunities.
