About Aberdare National Park
The Aberdare National Park lies in south-western Kenya and forms part of the wider Mara��CSerengeti ecosystem. Its landscape is dominated by rolling grasslands, riverine woodland and open savannah, creating excellent conditions for wildlife viewing throughout the year.
The park supports elephants, buffalo, leopards, black rhinos, giant forest hogs, bushbuck, waterbuck, monkeys and rich birdlife. Dense vegetation makes wildlife viewing quieter and more exploratory.
Aberdare is also known for dramatic waterfalls including Karuru Falls, forest streams and high-altitude viewpoints. It combines naturally with Mount Kenya, Ol Pejeta, Samburu and Lake Nakuru.
